business relationship w. Z1 (form. ZX Connection). That is they sell your chip and its in your interest for them to have a steady string of customers to sell it to. Take being said - I'm a friend of Sean's so I'm tainted too. BUT from the way things look here to those of us that saw the car 1. before it left 2. at ZCon and 3. since in the privacy of MY house - the car appears to have been tossed together on short notice. Now it was w. Russel in GA for a span of 4 months, but when Sean when to pick it up it was still JUST being broken in, and in my opinion not fit to be released from their shop. Had it died enroute to TX due to oil starvation we wouldnt need to sit around and point fingers it would be clear on who the responsibility falls. To be clear and honest had Greg Durpee not offered to look at it after the convention Sean would never have made it home to VA, he would have melted the engine down enroute. For Russel to now point blame at "subcontractors" for the short cuts take in putting the engine together, is laughable. He chose the people to work on the project, he knew it was a flagship car, and he took the money and signed off on it. No matter who did the work Russel took the check for it and Russel should stand by it. My gut impression has always been that Russel is a parts dealer first - and was over his head (or at least his level of experience) when he took on this gig no matter how he tries to paint the "deal" he gave the Sean. I wish him all the luck in the world in the future and I hope he makes Z1 into what he's billing it as but he should have stood by his finished product.
